On the hottest days of July 2019 in Europe, we, The Club of Uncertified Wine Tasters, went on a vacation in Austria. We have our usual pit stop Bad Blumau, where we get a good deal at a rustic guest house and relaxing spa built by the famed architect, Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Normally, we use it as a resting place for long journeys into Italy, but this time we set aside 3 days specifically to visit Austria. We managed to see the beautiful city of Graz and the rather gargantuan Melk Abbey (Order of Saint Benedict, the richest of the monks), while in the evening we’d drift in the hot springs of Rogner Bad Blumau.
