When you think of Amsterdam, your mind will probably race towards canals, bikes, coffee shops, museums, various events. Well, among cultural events, the city also hosts a big, biannual wine festival. For this article, open up a bottle of your favourite red, because the Amsterdam Wijnfestival is a celebration of the harvesting season; which, of course, means you have to celebrate with everyone else. It is held twice a year, in September and March, due to having 2 harvest seasons, one for each hemisphere. The Dutch won’t miss any special occasion to party! The Wijnfestival currently held its 6th edition, and the organizers mentioned that it attracts around ten thousand people per event, which is a great number. With all this in mind, let’s dive right in.
